 Growing up with electronic music pioneers like Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze or Jean Michel Jarre in the 80's, Fohat discovered early on a love for this new style of music. First encountering Goa Trance around 1993 and finding this style the musical niche that called to him, that today he still remains hooked on. In 2004 after many years of just enjoying festivals as a participant, he decided to pick up the headphones. The time having come to develop his own perspective and point of view on how the music  should be presented . 

Always trying to get more out of psychedelic trance he is always pushing the envelope of twilight and/or forest trance. His DJ sets are intelligent, harmonic, ocassionally hard and heavy hitting, but always in a steady flow and never boring or just simply predictable.  

  Over the last couple of years, Fohat has divided into also producing his own music. His approach sees him integrating his own creations seamlessly  into his DJ sets giving them a one of a kind and very personal feel.
