Tektrix has reached the stage of the psytrance game in which all the pieces have fallen into place. The building blocks of his sinister sound make for a solid foundation on which his promising career is starting to take shape.

Once Christopher Lawrence’s Pharmacy Music put him on in 2016, he garnered the attention of fans on a global level. Production aside, his reputation as a DJ precedes him as well. Now a fixture of clubs like AVALON Hollywood and Exchange LA, he has recently broken into markets outside of SoCal.

A heightened sense of tension and release has empowered Tektrix to rise as rapidly as he has. His artful use of negative space yields “hanging drops,” as he calls them, which give way to driving bass lines and expertly harmonized kick drums. It is perhaps the same audience awareness that has seen him also succeed as a disc jockey; the mind of a producer is a force to be reckoned with behind the decks.

Catching the ears of Sculpted Sounds in 2019, Tektrix’s dedication and talent was immediately zeroed in on by the label. With a release in short order on the label and followed not long after by his own massively successful compilation Psychedelic Therapy, Tektrix seized the moment and brought himself to status as one of the explosive labels most valuable talents.
